Is Race Day 9 really on a Wednesday?

OK, I may have read this wrong, but it looks like Race Day 9 is on Oct 10, which looks like a Wednesday. Hmmm.... could that be right?

I doubt that could be right.

Where did you read such a thing?

I know October is the 10th month of the year, and I know we have the last Race day on Oktoberfest, but the WSC President/ CEO/ ? has not yet announced the date of the Oktoberfest for 2012 - other than to suggest it will be in October.

I guess we'll have to wait to see the date.

That is what I thought too. I saw it posted on the calendar on the News and discussion (WSC forum). I thought maybe I wasn't paying close enough attention - what me not paying attention - how could that be?
