Thanks for the heads up regarding Monday, but with the solstice being the following week, the thermals may be a bit on the weak side.
It does look like a good day for some currency flights.... assuming the forecast high continues to dominate.... it is a five day outlook.
Sunset will be 4:48 P.M.
As of Sunday, the night before...
I'm on the schedule for Monday, as are Phil and Leon.
Windy, but unstable near 3 Sisters, with 3.5 kt thermals, thus a low B/S ratio, and no cu.
Unless something changes, I plan to fly.
Landing to the north is a good exercise.
Post flight debrief...
It was a nice day. We all completed our currency flights BEFORE the cu popped (and stayed) slightly west of Walker ridge. The rasp appeared to be accurate (as usual). With such a low b/s and such weak thermals, i wasn’t really expecting any long flights.
It was great to be back in the air on such a beautiful day. Landed twice to the south and once to the north. Boxed the wash and did a couple of inflight engine starts (within glide of WSC), just for practice.
Thanks to the staff I had a great time. Ground handling that ASW 32 is an impossible task for one person.
