Monday is looking flyable... a different monday

    Looks good on the RASPs
Key will fly PS and I will fly OJ.
no cu, not as hot as today (Sunday), but good convergence line, early convectinon.
11 AM launch is very achievable for getting off tow near tree farm and then heading north.
If Key makes me go first (as he usually does), I will wait at St John for him to get off tow at Tree Farm, before I head northward. He always catches up to me.

Granted, this is BL top, and it is for 1300 hrs local, but you get the idea...

Just like the RASP predicted. We did the same old stuff (sos) off a tree farm up to T-16, back home again.
Lift line was further east than usual.
I made the mistake of flying over to Sutter buttes on the way home. Brain fart. I endured the heat for way longer than I needed to. To do it over, it would have been a high speed descent back to the lower atmosphere, with max rate down to the pattern.
Over three hours, duration, max altitude about 13,400. Strong lift all day. The highest I observed today, on the vario 30 second averager, was over 17 kts once and over 15 kts another time, but each were only momentary. Circling was 14 % for the flight.

Nice flight Peter. Thanks for sharing.

The morning RASP yesterday indicated CU markers from St. John north to about T16 with bases 12K to 15K. Did you see any markers yesterday?

Pet- 98 and Russ, yes it was fun. Thanks for the acknowledgment.

There were a couple of wispy cu that would come and go along that convergence line. Nothing south of Alder.
One or two tiny scraps near M6 and the other bigger one (ten or 20 wing spans wide) just north of eagle pk. They would only stay visible for about 10 minutes at a time, but the one near eagle, cycled pretty fast it would re-appear more quickly.
Wind was a big factor in the conditions. Most of the time over 15 kts from the west. never saw much over 20 kts
