    Smoke - Air Quality

I had one of our pilots ask how to find out how the visibility is with the smoke.

So far I have found these two sites.

The air quality map seems to be a reasonable reporting of the smoke in the area.

    https://airnow.gov/index.cfm?action=airnow.local_city&zipcode=95679&s ubmit=Go

Between that and the satellite maps.

    Any other suggestions?

    Edit, several days later...
Note date in box on lower left of image. See it reads 2018.08.10. , thus that image is from Aug 10th. Click on that date box to view the latest image!!!

Here is a link to wildland cameras found on the Air Sailing web site.

The following screen shot from the camera on Mt. Konocti looking north this morning. I believe the column of smoke is from the fire on Snow Mt.
