Friday continues to look good with 6K bases. Looks like we should be able to fly in the valley and foothills outside the TFR. Looks like the smoke cleared the area and giving similar SW wind direction tomorrow we shouldn’t get any smoke.
I am planning to fly and launch as early as 11AM.

Just a quick PIREP confirming that the soaring conditions where as predicted and the smoke cleared as predicted, only a bit later, so I launched at 1PM when I could see clouds in the satellite photos and through the haze. The clouds started near 3 sisters and bases where 7-8K. Went to snow mountain south of the TFR and from there to Mount St Helena where the clouds dropped to 5K, to Berryessa Dam, to east of Dunnigan and back to Williams. Strongest climb was in the convergence over Dunnigan to nearly 8K. Also found weak wave near Goat in less than 10knots wind which got me above cloud base to 8500ft. The air was clear south and west of Williams, and was clear at Williams when I landed. Overall it was great to fly again in mostly clear air.
