Post Frontal Saturday 2/20

Keeping my eyes on Saturday for a post frontal valley day.

Skysight is a stale forecast, but looking optimistic:



Huckbone shows a non-zero chance of valley Cu as well:


BL winds look light...

However, the overall cloud percentage is quite high, possibly indicating spread out and/or too much moisture. Anyone else have a read on this?

The 3 sisters skew T shows lift to about 4,000' at the max of the day, and about 3,000' at williams. You'll likely stay up.

There will probably be a little spread out, but it will dry out as the day goes on. It currently looks to be like soaring will occur with some mid-winter valley thermals.

If I could fly on Saturday, I would give it a go...

I will be in the area so if conditions are favorable I will rig and fly.

Saturday looks quite a bit better in the friday evening forecast. The convergence line seems pushed past the peaks however, with the best lift between walker and crazy creek. There is wave on top, but too northerly really to work well. I'm going to update wx sat am and make a decision.

Interesting day forming... There should be some nice valley cu's for a bit with cu's in the foothills. The wrinkley bit is how much the NW-N builds throughout the day.
