Charts are looking favorable for a high probability of wave..........

SMACK! Stop sounding like a weatherman!

Energy level is good, without being a blowout.

Moisture is optimal, so that we have well marked clouds and gaps....

Keep an open view of Saturday - even though there is that dirt bike detail, because things change a lot two or three days out.

I see strange patterns on Saturday afternoon that might/could possibly produce the wave - without the markers clouds - since the moisture isn't fcst to be there.
And, on Sunday I could see how that moisture could well prevent us from enjoying the wave - a little too much moisture might be present in the way of clouds, instead of just cloud markers.

    Thanks for posting Kemp.

    Nice photos Kurt.

Mallory got into wave - up to 9,500 over Goat area, or was that Walker where he hit the high spot?

Here is a See You of my flight - it doesn't look like much, mostly all below 1,000 meters on the OLC view, but looks are deceiving because the tracks are laid on top of one another.

    see the olc trace at
    http://www.onlinecontest.org/olc-2.0...t=olc&pi=18494

here is the light log itself - for those that want to play it in see you...
I guess there is a way to play it in gogle earth as well...

It was a beautiful, mostly clear day. Rex towed me off to the north, with a left turn right over town as we headed towards 7V and 1B to the SW of town past the canal. Lift was booming on tow and everyone was reporting lift, so I released at 2,000 ft. Pete-98 was at 4,000 5 miles to the west, Ray and Jim were above 4,000 about 5 miles to the south, Marianne was 4,000 near 3 sisters, Mallory was in wave at Walker.

I found lift at 1,800 with a wind out of the south at 5 to 10 kts or so. As I reached 4,000 ft I moved towards the ridge. Once there I saw the west wind. I worked thermals along the ridge moving south and staying above 3,300 ft and abeam 20-16 TP it looked like the wind was favoring ridge lift. I lowered the nose and headed south. Flew above the ridge at altitudes between 2,800 and 3,300 ft. Never a trouble spot along the way. It is 33 km from the 20-16 TP to the Ridge South TP. I traversed it six runs (3 round trips), for 198 km total ridge miles, and 228 km (142 miles) total for the day. Fun running with Jim, Ray and Pete-98. It was a good test of the Power Flarm. Avg speed over 50 MPH on a 2.5 hour flight. Not bad for a winter flight.

We all had a great time playing with our Power Flarms - more on that on a new thread.

The ridge was working again today, and I probably would have not known had Sergio not gone first. We flew together on the second trip down and it was low and fast and one helluva lot of fun

Congrats on a good flight Luke.
I added your two photos to the Map page that describes the ridge.
    Thanks.

    Thanks for the photo, Luke.

I placed the files of our two flights together in SeeYou. It is great in 3D, best at a 1:1 speed
