    Hi all,

Just a reminder to RSVP - the dinner will be catered by La Fortuna. I will order food this weekend, so would like a head count by Saturday evening.

We'll have Cora's famous coffee cake with coffee and tea to start the day, and will finish up with Nina's fresh baked cookies. Crackers, cheese, etc. available during the day, and dinner about ~ 5:00 PM.

Help to set up and clean up is appreciated. Please let Cora, Noelle, or me know if you have some extra time and energy!

    Hope to see you there.

Oh - And don't forget to RSVP for a tow if you want to fly.

As Ginny says, RSVP for the tows also. Getting a tow is a good idea on a day like this.
Last of the rain (for a while) is this Monday. After that - DRY!

Charts at 10,000 ft show high pressure is in place starting on Thursday evening the 26th and it stays right there to Sunday the 29th.
Balmy temps and light winds. A nice time to shake off the cobwebs with a few patterns. and then enjoy the presentation and the dinner.

Thursday night the 26th, 10,000 ft and Saturday night the 28th at 10,000 ft.

Re: First VSA Winter Seminar of 2017 - January 28th

Thank you Pete for an enjoyable and informative presentation.
Thank you also to all those who helped to prepare the room, the meals, deserts, as well as clean up, etc, etc,
Last, and certainly not least, thank you to the Mayes family and the entire staff of WSC.

I took a flight today, as did many others - mostly for currency of course, since we all knew there would be no lift today. But sled runs are fun, regardless of the altitude and duration. My flight is posted on OLC as usual. Just good practice to post the flights and share the knowledge.

See the flight on the OLC

Great seminar on Saturday evening - Thanks Pete "98" for the informative and beautiful presentation.

The food started off with Cora's coffee cake and finished up with Nina's cookies - a community effort - thanks a million to all who contributed their time, effort and expertise to all the details that made the evening work out well.

It seems there are upgrades to the hangar each time we hold an event - Thanks to Rex and Noelle for creating and maintaining such a great space for community use!

Mark your calendars - next event is Feb 18. Speaker Key Dismukes.
Following event is March 18. Speaker John Cochrane.

    Stay tuned for details.
